If you have not already done so, and if you have not yet made (or are in the process of making) your first character, I strongly suggest that you also read this topic on character creation
here.
1. Your username must match your character name, and vice versa. This is because during any topic, your username will appear rather than the name you have placed on your character sheet. If upon account creation, you created a username that you do not intend to be your character's name, that can be changed very easily, and you should feel free to do so.
2. Only one character per account is allowed. This relates back to the first rule, as your character's name must match your username. If a second character is created for an account that already has one, it will either be denied, or simply interpreted as a replacement, deleting your previous character.
You may, however, make a second character through means of a second account, sometimes called an alternative character (or an alt.) to use while your other character is still active. With these, however, you may not have your alternative character start in the same land as your original character, and if one character is a ruler, the other may not be.
3. After creating your character, you must wait until it is approved by a moderator or site admin for you to use this character. This is not only to ensure you follow the rules, but also to make sure you have completed the process and check for any errors that may hinder your character.
4. Once a character is approved, you must create a character sheet for that character, which the format can be found
here. On that character sheet, as can be seen, you are required to provide a link to your original character creation, for a greater reference for yourself and other players.
5. Just as you must link your character creation on your character sheet, you must then provide a link to your character sheet in your user signature. This is vital, as your character sheet will be checked by others and added to by yourself more often than you may realize.
6. You must follow the format provided in character creation and about character sheets, as they provide the information needed to play the game properly.
7. You may not edit your character sheet unless it is to add or remove attributes, weapons, armor (etc), that have been approved. Any re-distribution of attributes after they have been added to your character is strictly forbidden, as it would allow you to completely change your character spontaneously, giving an extreme disadvantage to all other players.
8. All changes (additions and removals) to your character must be listed in your character sheet, as a reply to the topic works fine, and must have a link provided to a topic in which you have requested the changes (gained attributes, a new sword), and those changes have been approves by a moderator or site admin.
9. All characters must start with a class, and it is impossible to create a "classless character". This class and its category cannot be changed at any time, though it may be possible to train in another class.
10. Please keep in mind that while each character created must have a class, every class falls under a category. Each one of these categories has a required preset of starting attributes. Every category is mathematically equal in its starting attributes, however, each has its own advantages and disadvantages. Each are listed in the "of the ---" section for that category.
11. Please keep in mind that if your character dies, then it is dead, and can no longer be used. Any topic made with your character after their death that you try to participate in will be denied. Upon your character's death, you do have the option to create a new one and start life anew. If you choose to do so, please change your name, and then you must go through the creation process again.
12. To join a different land/kingdom, you must make a request to the king/queen of that land, and they will either accept or deny you to become a citizen of that land. Joining a new kingdom makes you lose citizenship of the old one.
