Skill or Spell: skill

Category: zealot
Class: commander
Type: normal

Effect: The commander incenses nearby allies, increasing their damage.  Increases scaling (Strength or Dexterity up to beneficiary) by one for allies of the commander within 60 feet.

NOTES:Commander is not affected by aura; Normal scaling +2->+3; Multiple instances of Offensive Aura do not stack; Commander must specify beneficiaries, which cannot exceed six characters.

Action Cost:-
Memory Slots: 15
Patience Required: 80
Word Count to Learn: 3000

Increasing scaling by 1 is a pretty large difference, more so for higher levels. I would suggest boosting the required memory, patience, and words for this skill significantly.

Fair enough.  I was trying to make it feasible for people to start with, but I can definitely understand.

Memory slots increased to 15
Patience increased to 80
Word count increased to 2500

The patience requirement may still be a bit low.  I've tried re-balancing after looking at a few of the other skills, but I'm still not entirely sure how to best adjust it.

The patience seems fine to me, as well as just about everything else. One of the three 'requirement' areas for this skill could be boosted (patience, memory slots, word count), but that's only a could, and I don't think it's needed. 

So, approved from me, 1 more needed. 

Also, you should mention if this skill stacks in the case of multiple commanders having the same skill, or if it does not. Unlikely, I know, but I never know when someone will want to start finding loopholes. I would suggest not allowing bonuses from multiple instances of this aura, just to keep it away from blending too much with a warrior spell.

Sorry for the long rant. After you include the mentioned, and decide to raise a requirement or not, then, approved from me.

No, that's entirely okay.  I'd assumed it wouldn't stack but hadn't placed that in yet.  I will add it.  I think I will increase the word count to three-thousand, so that it has to be worked towards for a while.  After all, it is a useful skill.  Also, I'm adding a line so that the commander must mention the specific characters viewed as allies for this aura.  That way there will be no confusion as to who is or is not affected.

Approved from me. I'd actually even say that the number of memory slots could potentially be dropped (not much, but maybe down to about 12 or 13). Maybe add a limit to the number of allies that can be affected? Otherwise a small, relatively weak squad of archers with a Commander could become crazy strong. Like wayyyyy too strong for a skill that can be learned this quickly. Maybe even up to five, but just specify that it can't go up to, say, 20, as that would wreck face too hardcore.

Alright, I agree on that. Anything from 4-8 seems reasonable to me, but, yes, if somehow one were to gain a large following, this could be very overpowered.

Edited to 6 max beneficiaries.  That would allow for a small group but not an army.
