Name: Spellsword
Category: Fighter

What the Class Does: The Spellsword combines weapons and magic into a fighting style. He summons swords of differing elements and uses them as opposed to the standard iron and steel weapons.

Reasons for the Category: The Spellsword learns magic purely for becoming better at destroying his enemies.

Uniqueness of the Class: This class uses magic to conjure weapons that he uses instead of offensive spells or regular weapons. His weapons would have different effects depending on which element of magic he uses for the summon.

An Example of a Skill or Spell for the Class:
Elemental Blade: a sword of a specific element is summoned and causes effects based on the element.

This is currently in a kind of awkward limbo between scholar and zealot (in my opinion), so I'd advocate that you alter it a bit to make it fit better into one. For zealot, perhaps make it strictly weapon-oriented magic, rather than combat (focusing on enchanting blades, etc., but without such abilities as the Blood Rage), as the zealot tends to pursue a single obsession, and a bond with weapons is a bit more class-specific than an obsession with combat. The scholar, on the other hand, would be able to have many of these skills but a bit more diverse. If that makes sense, great, if not, just let me know what would help to clarify.

I would suggest moving to zealot, as I think a class that has a singular obsession with its weapon and the perfect use thereof sounds really cool. If you do that, I'd take out both of the current skills and move to purely weapon-centric (e.g. elemental buffs, a passive skill that treats dex and/or strength as higher for determining damage based on scalings). Once it's been moved out of this bizarre limbo between categories, I'll be happy to approve!

I agree with Psyre. The two examples for spells you currently listed have already been made, or likely will be in the pyromancer class and the berserker class. If you can change it enough to be more unique, I'll approve it, but currently, the idea behind it sounds slightly like combining the paladin with the cleric, which can be done through multiclassing, rather than making a separate class.

The First Seer and I talked about this a good bit today and decided that this is probably better suited to the Fighter category. Other than that, everything looks good! Just go ahead and change the category to Fighter (unless you have a very compelling argument for why it should remain a Zealot class and are set that it must be a zealot), and other than that, approved from me as well! Way to go on making a new class! We'll want to start working on and tweaking skills for it to make it a bit more well-established and ensure that it's roughly balanced.
