Claiming the Throne

After a long journey, Edgardo had finally reached his destination. Hearing that Blondie had declared himself King in the North had given him a wonderful idea. If Blondie could pull it off, why couldn't he? The choice was easy to make; his kingdom would have to be southern, as the cold did not suit him. The south west was primarily sand and dust, and that wouldn't be good for his hair. So, Edgardo set out to claim his kingdom.

Walking into the throne room, Edgardo felt ten feet tall. Walking a few short steps before stopping in the center of the room, he observed the bickering old men who governed the kingdom. Had governed it, he corrected himself. Clearing his throat loudly, he projected his voice so that it filled the entire room, drowning out all other conversation.

"I am Edgardo Belamont, and I declare myself your King! I forsake my homeland in the west, and swear that I will protect this land until the day I die!"

Upon finishing his declaration, Edgardo strode forward, seating himself upon the throne. This is going to be so much fun, he thought, a ginormous grin plastered on his face.
