PostSubject: The Lore of the East   Wed May 31, 2017 9:16 pm

The East has the largest population out of all of the known lands, and by a significant amount as well, despite half of it being uninhabitable due to the Endless Mountain Range. It is often rumored that the Eastern army may draw with that of the West, for though the Western army is superior, the East has more soldiers than the West has arrows.

The East has always claimed to be ruled by a single emperor, who governs all of the cities, however such is usually not the case. At almost any given time in history, there is at least one rebellious group in the East, who claim their leader is the rightful Emperor. On occasion, this rebellion grows, and overthrows the emperor, but this is less common.

The entire Eastern population lives on the southern branch of the continent, save for one small fishing town, which is on the northern half, separated by the Endless Mountains. This small village trades frequently with the North East Isle, while the rest of the empire trades with the South West, and the West. This small village, Matu, is sometimes considered to not even be a part of the Eastern empire at all.

The East has tried many times to establish their own ore mines, but rely heavily on the West for metals, as their mountain ranges seem perilous, and only a small number have succeeded. There are many legends and myths of creatures and beasts living in the mountain range, but they seem to only be stories. It is also because of this mountain range that the East cannot be explored fully explored.
